Meet Tre, a proud and talented 25-year-old Aboriginal/South African Australian. Currently in his final year pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Acting at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), Tre’s passion for performing has been a guiding force since childhood. Whether entertaining family at gatherings or diving into imaginary worlds, he has always found joy and purpose in bringing characters to life.
As Tre has matured, he has discovered the power of harnessing his imagination to transport audiences into the worlds he envisions. His belief that technique and training are essential in bridging the gap between imagination and reality has become his creative mantra: “Technique is the key to creative freedom.”
Tre’s journey in the performing arts began at the age of 15 when he collaborated with Black Swan on a production at his school. This experience ignited a deep commitment to his craft, motivating him to pursue acting more seriously. He continued to explore his passion through various projects and performances, including Footloose, ATAR drama, and an opportunity with Screen West on the short film ‘Brothers’.
In 2020, Tre completed the Cert IV in Aboriginal Theatre and Performance at WAAPA, solidifying his dedication to his cultural roots. He subsequently embarked on a memorable theatrical adventure with the Fringe Festival, captivating audiences as a tour guide actor at the East Perth Cemetery in the production called REST.
Throughout his career, Tre has been involved in a plethora of WAAPA projects and shows, showcasing his versatility and range as an actor. From Even Hands and Rockstars to Our Country’s Good and Fatherland, he has consistently delivered captivating performances in a myriad of roles.
Not only is Tre skilled in live acting, but he has also ventured into the world of commercial voice over. He lends his voice talent to provide tailored voicemails as well as corporate scripts and elearning modules.
